College Manor has several other committees,if you are interested in volunteering to help please contact the following chairs to find out more:

 

Welcoming Committee:

This committee welcomes new neighbors to the community. Giving them a small gift, last newsletter and a copy of the directory and offering any assistance to finding local places especially if they are new to Maryland. Letting them know about upcoming events for the community.

Children Socials:

This committee throws three parties a year for our kids in the community. An Easter Party, Halloween Party and holiday Party. Each party is held at the tot lot, (the Halloween party starts with a Halloween costume parade at the corner of Kings College Court and Kings College Drive and ends at the party in the tot lot). Each party has light snacks: examples are juice/juice boxes and cupcakes, donuts or cookies decorated to the theme of the party. There is a themed craft and themed games. For the Easter Party there is an Easter Egg hunt.

Landscaping/Beautification:

This committee meets to discuss the projects for flower choices for the season for the signs and tot lot, they decorate the signs for the holidays, and judge yards for the lawn of the season.

Adult socials/Block Parties/clean up events:

This committee handles the block parties for families twice a year (Spring/Fall), and handles the Adult summer party and Christmas Party as well as planning clean up days twice a year for the community.

This committee puts together the newsletter 3 times a year and delivering it to the neighbors.

Yardsale:

This committee plans the yardsales two times a year Spring and Fall and puts up signs around the community for the yardsale and posts ads in local newspapers.
